Colleen H. “Cokie” Stewart

Colleen H. “Cokie” Stewart, 93, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in Iowa Park, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Lakeview Church in Iowa Park with her sons, Ron and Lonnie Stewart, grandsons, Tony Stewart, and Lonnie Stewart, Jr. officiating and Pastor Daniel Robertson assisting. Graveside services will follow at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the chapel at the funeral home. 

Cokie was born August 14, 1927 in Iowa Park, Texas to Sam and Opal (Watson) Armstrong. She married the love of her life, Billy Don Stewart, on January 17, 1947 in Henrietta, Texas. Cokie was a member Lakeview Church of God and was very active in supporting her sons’ ministries. She was a homemaker and wonderful mother who was devoted to her family. 

Cokie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Jolene Smith and Sammie Reader; and one granddaughter, Tammy Renae Stewart. 

Surviving relatives include her three sons, Rev. Roy Stewart and wife, Vicki of Birmingham, Alabama; Rev. Ronnie Stewart and wife, Coleen of Gaffney, South Carolina; and Rev. Lonnie Stewart and wife, Tracy of Arcadia, Florida; siblings, Raymond Jackson of Opelika, Alabama; Norman Jackson of San Antonio, Texas; Carmen Jackson of Milledgeville, Georgia; and Shirley Case of Iowa Park; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; also Jackie Duggins who was a caregiver and like a daughter to Cokie.
