David Charles Brown, 75, of Boerne, Texas, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on May 19, 2020. David was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on September 30, 1944. He attended and graduated from Iowa Park ISD in 1963, and moved on to play basketball at Midwestern State University. During that time, David also enlisted in the Air Force Reserve as a medic. He graduated in 1970 with a BS in Education, and was honorably discharged in 1973 from the Air Force Reserve. David earned a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University in 1976. He worked for many years in education, serving as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He was also an entrepreneur having established several small businesses. David touched countless lives and always had a smile and kind word for all. However, he was most proud of his family. David always believed that blood was thicker than water. He was a lover of all sports, dogs, great conversation, and good music. He had such a unique ability of conversation that by the end of a visit with a stranger, they left as friends. He took great pride in belonging to the Grand Lodge of Texas, as he was a Master Mason in Good Standing.
