Donald Ray Cuatt, Jr., 64, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 in Wichita Falls, TX.   Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, 27, 2022 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.

Don was born on July 7, 1957, to Donald and Shirley (Reed) Cuatt in Monterey, CA. After moving to Denton, Texas from Ramona, California, he graduated from Denton High School in 1975. He went on to study electrical engineering at North Texas State University where he received an associates degree. After graduating he went joined the United States Air Force in 1977, where he was an Electric Power Line Technician. He was stationed in Azores, Portugal for his first duty assignment where he served for 3 years. He then was stationed to Andrews AFB where he served for 2 years. He went on to train as a Technical Training Instructor in his field, for 5 years, and was stationed at Sheppard AFB where he ended his military career in 1987. He began another career at Cryovac Sealed Air in Iowa Park, TX, immediately after. He worked in extrusion at Cryovac for about 16 years as a supervisor. He worked for Wal-Mart for many years, then worked as a manager or supervisor at Stripes convenient stores and Denny’s restaurant.

Don enjoyed bowling, gambling, coin collecting, the Texas Rangers, listening to Rock’n’roll, playing pool, cooking, watching his kids and grandchildren play sports. Some of his favorite things were Dodge Chargers, old cars; favorite color was red and loved his coffee and Mountain Dew.

Don is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Reed Cuatt. He is survived by his daughter, Corrina Myers and husband Kevin; son, Marc Prestwood; son, Donny Cuatt and wife Michelle; daughter Holly Deane and husband Denny; and son, J.D. Cuatt and wife Payton.  His grandchildren include: Taylor Clement, Sidney Clement, Mason Myers, Peyton Chester, Kami Chester, Noah Cuatt, Sawyer Cuatt and Parker Cuatt; and 1 great-grandchild, Palmer Routh; father, Donald Cuatt, Sr., brother, John Cuatt and wife, Pat, sister, Barbara Cuatt-Walker and husband, Jud, brother Ken Cuatt and wife, Mary and many other loved ones.
