     Emmet Herbert Bernstein, 92, passed away January 15, 2021 in Wichita Falls, TX.

     There will be a small family memorial service held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Iowa Park, TX. The family hopes to have a memorial service later when the pandemic lets up.

     Emmet was born February 21, 1928 in Shackelford County near Albany, TX at his parents home to Paul Oswald Bernstein and Olga Elizabeth Ziehr. He was a jet engine mechanic working on the Euro-Nato Joint Jet Pilot Training Program at Sheppard AFB retiring from there in 1990. He was of the Lutheran Faith where he served as a church elder.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ernest and Ray Bernstein, and his son Emmet Kyle Bernstein.

     Emmet is survived by his wife of 70 years Joe Ann Bernstein of Iowa Park, TX, two sons, Johnny Bernstein and his wife Cindy of Little Elm, TX, and Allen Bernstein of Burkburnett, TX.

     He is also survived by three brothers Antone Bernstein of Sweetwater, TX, James Bernstein of Round Rock, TX, and Marvin Bernstein of Winchendon, MA, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Also his loving dogs Duke and Daisy.

     The family suggests memorials be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Iowa Park building fund or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
