Helen Carolyn Nipper, 92, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in the pavilion at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.  Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the funeral home.

Helen was born June 20, 1927 in Belton, Texas to Homer B. and Martha L. (Watson) Rainwater.  She was raised in Belton where she attended and graduated from Belton High School in 1944.  Helen then moved to Dallas, Texas where she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank.  While working in Dallas, she met and later married Herschel Nipper on April 3, 1947 in Dallas. After his death, she was married to Dr. Richard Carver for 18 years and traveled extensively with him prior to his passing.  She loved working crossword puzzles, her iPad, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Benjamin and five sisters, Doris, Dawn, Martha, Frances, and Ruby.

Surviving relatives include her children, Marvin and wife, Sheryl of Evergreen, Colorado; Jaye and husband, Johnny of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Brian, Mark, Angela, John, Stacy, Shannon, Jennifer, and Ricky; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Alex, Abigail, Ashley, Ainsley, and Lane; sister-in-law, Bettie Rainwater; her dearest friend, Charlene Rusk; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
