Jimmy Ray Smith

Jimmy Ray Smith, 69, passed away Tuesday, April 9, in Altus, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Finley officiating.

Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born July 1, 1949, in Vernon. He married the love of his life, Charlotte Lovorn, on July 17, 1972, in Altus, Ok. He worked for Amsco Steel and retired after 30 years of service. He also currently worked for Red River Waste Company. He enjoyed square dancing and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jody and Lola Mae Hickey; his son, Michael Ray Smith; and his daughter, Trisha Lynn Smith.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 46 years, Charlotte Smith of Iowa Park; son, Scotty Wayne Smith of Godley; a brother, Ronnie Hickey; a sister, Sharon White; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
