Karla Jean (Weaver) Panter, 69, of Iowa Park Texas passed away Sunday July 11, 2021 in Iowa Park, Texas.

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home Chapel in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday July 16, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls all under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home and Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Mrs. Panter was born July 11, 1952 in Austin, Texas to Rupert Jean and Kathryn Leverne (Bailey) Weaver. She married Paul Robert Panter on May 24, 1974 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was active in High School choir and theater. When she graduated Iowa Park High School she attended Aladdin Beauty College in 1973. She worked for a medical surgical clinic in Wichita Falls Texas and received her certification as a medication aid and was employed by Lane Convalescent Home. She was a Campfire leader. Karla Coached the Iowa Park Softball league, was a member of the PTA, volunteered for Wichita Project Playground, a Wichita County Elections Clerk for and judge for more than 30 years, and was a charter member of the D.A.M.E.S. Woman’s Investment Club for more than 20 years.  She attended Wichita Falls Church of God- Anderson from a very early age, was a member of University Park Church of the Nazarene and is a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Wichita Falls, Texas. Karla was a very loving, devoted wife, mother and Nana that will be greatly missed and forever mourned. Karla loved holiday’s especially Christmas and Halloween being her favorite one. The famous “Panter” Halloween parties were always fun for everyone. Karla “Nana” loved all of her grandchildren and never missed a game or event for her grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving wife who found her soulmate in Paul. Their love, devotion, and kindness always shown to one another that made such a loving home and life for their children and grandchildren.

She is Survived by her husband, Paul Robert Panter; 3 daughters, Jennifer Kristine Aspell and husband Dave, Shelley Renee` Panter, and Brittany Nacole Wuthrich and husband Brian; grandchildren, Corbin Robert Smith, Chloe Elizabeth Aspell, Emma Grace Wuthrich, Ryder Andrew Wuthrich, Aiden Lewis Holley, Briar Reese Wuthrich; brother, Bobby Norman Knecht and wife Jamie.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Aurthur and Mable (Karstetter) Bailey; her parents, Rupert and Kathryn Weaver.
