LaRonda Ruth Downs

LaRonda Ruth Downs, at the young age of 64, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Holliday with Terry Grace of Mankins Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Holliday Cemetery. A meal will be provided for the family at the Mankins Baptist Church, following the funeral service. Visitation will be held at 6-8 PM on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. 

Laronda was born June 16, 1956 in Olney, Texas. She was baptized in June of 1966. LaRonda married the love of her life, Jackie Downs, on June 21, 1974 in Iowa Park, Texas. LaRonda became a beauty operator and had a shop at her home. She loved gardening, working with Jackie with cattle, taking care of her grandchildren and going to support them at all of their events. 

LaRonda is survived by her husband, Jackie Downs of Kamay, Texas; son, Rusty Downs and wife, Tassie of Kamay, Texas; daughter, Lacy Downs and wife, Katie of Allen, Texas; and grandchildren, Ryland Downs and Delani Downs of Kamay, Texas. LaRonda is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Earl Scobee and Louise Earlene (Gray) Scobee; and three brothers, Robert Earl, Benny and Kerry Scobee.
