Patsy Jean Callaway Lane

Patsy Jean Callaway Lane, 86, passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 2.

She was born in Dallas, Texas to Reece and Margarete Callaway on July 1, 1935 and grew up in Longview. She graduated from North Texas State College in Denton. She worked for the LTV Corporation in Dallas prior to moving to Wichita Falls, and retiring from Civil Service at Sheppard AFB. She served as a church organist at various churches during her lifetime including Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, and was a Past Matron of the Iowa Park Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Patsy married William C Lane on June 15, 1984, in Wichita Falls and they moved to Knoxville, TN. in February 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Jeffrey Keith Savell; and her husband, William.

Survivors include son and daughter, Steven C Savell and Karen Savell White, both of Texas; a stepdaughter, Barbara J. Lane of Arkansas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Burial will be in the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.

An additional gathering will be in held in Texas in the near future.
