      IOWA PARK - Richard (Rich) Allen Kline, 74, of Iowa Park, passed away after a long illness at his home on January 2, 2021.

     Rich was born July 23, 1946 in Glendale, California to Homer and Elizabeth Kline. He married the love of his life, Grace Brown Tayes, on August 29, 1981.

      He spent 21 years in the U. S. Navy as an aircraft electrician and then retired to Klamath Falls, Oregon. Following that, he and Grace then moved to Texas where they lived in the Wichita Falls-Iowa Park area for 25 years.

     Rich was an MSU graduate, and a members of the Wichita Falls Art Association and VFW.

     As an accomplished musician, he was active in the local music scene, playing at Jamborees with wife, Grace; and was a member of the Red Door Band.

     He attended the First Christian Church of Iowa Park, where he was heavily involved in their music program. A long-time antique car enthusiast, Rich built and restored many retro cars.

     Rich is survived by Grace, his wife of 39 years; stepson Stephen Tayes and wife Julie; stepson Richard Tayes and wife Joyce; 3 step-grandsons and a step-granddaughter; a step great- grandson and a step great-granddaughter; sister Kathy Hendrix and husband Jeff; sister Rebecca Green and husband Ken; 2 nephews and a niece.

     A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11 AM, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at First Christian Church of Iowa Park. The family is requesting that guests wear masks during the service.
