Ronald Alfred Woods Sr.

Ronald Alfred Woods Sr., 85, of Burkburnett passed away Saturday.

Graveside services were held Wednesday at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Scott officiating.

Ronald was born in Gibbon, Nebraska to the late William and Helen (Peel) Woods. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was retired as an elementary school principal. He was hired as assistant principal at Iowa Park High School starting in the 1982/83 school year and served as assistant there until being promoted to Kidwell Elementary principal starting in the 1984/85 school year until he left the district in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori; and brother, William Woods.

He is survived by his wife, Bobby Jean of Burkburnett; son, Ronald Woods Jr. of Sherman; daughter, Cari DiMarzio of Burkburnett; sister, Barbara Hood of Kansas City, MO.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
