Wayne Lane Hughes

Wayne Lane Hughes, 77, died Friday, March 29, 2019, in Iowa Park.

A celebration of his life was held Wednesday, April 3, in the pavilion at Highland Cemetery with Mr. Jack Hayley officiating.

Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.

Wayne was born Feb. 24, 1942, in Pampa, to Robert L. Hughes and Jane L. Hughes. He married Diana Ruth Ray on August 22, 1964, in Pam-pa. They moved to Iowa Park in 1985. He worked for Ameron in Burkburnett until his retirement in 1988. He and Diana owned the Wash N Chat Laundry in Burkburnett for many years until her passing in 2012.

His parents and siblings preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Michele Stokes of Frisco, and Susan Wolfe of Iowa Park; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was a supporter of the Humane Society of Wichita Falls.
