There will be Korean food, beauty products, and K-pop merchandise
The festival will feature food vendors offering options such as tteokbokki, bibimbap, Korean BBQ, desserts, and beverages.
There will also be stalls selling cultural and commercial goods, including Korean beauty products, fashion, crafts, jewelry, and K-pop merchandise.
Korean Festival Houston began in 2009 and moved to Discovery Green the following year. It is currently organized by the Korean-American Society of Houston and welcomes tens of thousands of visitors over the weekend.
The nearest parking will have construction-related changes
Discovery Green has public parking and private lots in Downtown Houston, but one of the closest options will have a significant limitation during the festival.
The Central Avenue Garage, at 1002 Avenida de las Americas, is closed to the public due to construction work.
Discovery Green currently points to nearby alternatives: the North Avenue Garage, 701 Avenida de las Americas, and the surface parking lot at 1515 Rusk Street. Rates vary depending on the parking facility and the time.
There are also metered spaces on nearby streets, although the McKinney parking lane next to the park has been converted into a bike lane. Parking on La Branch continues to be available.
METRORail arrives at a station beside Discovery Green
Those arriving by public transit can use the METRORail Green and Purple lines and alight at the Convention District station, located next to the park and the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Discovery Green also offers bicycle access and nearby areas for app-based transportation services.
The festival is certified as a sensory-inclusive event by KultureCity to accommodate visitors with different sensory needs.
