Arap Bethke, Fátima Molina and Alex de la Madrid Tackle Heavy Themes in Lobo: Die Killing

There is no doubt that the evolution of telenovelas continues to be felt in the latest productions presented by television channels. An example of this is “Lobo, morir matando,” which arrives on Telemundo’s screen.

This action story centers on “Lobo Rosales,” played by actor Arap Bethke, who portrays a former detective whose life changes after a tragic event that forces him to protect “Renata,” the daughter of the woman he once loved.

As they flee across the border, they forge an unlikely bond that will test the limits of loyalty, love and redemption. The telenovela is based on the novel “Morir matando,” by F.G. Haghenbeck.

It is a production in which action is woven into the plot and Bethke is in charge of making sure it moves along by portraying “Lobo.”

Actress Fátima Molina shares the same view about her character “Antonia,” who is a police officer and finds herself involved in action scenes.

“My character is a woman who commands weapons and dives into all of the action. She is a woman who seeks justice, and that is what I like most about ‘Antonia.’ Today, the citizens of every country dream of authorities they can trust and feel protected,” said Molina.

Alex de la Madrid, a well-established actor, is part of this telenovela as “Hernando Cruz,” and in his years of career he has seen the evolution of the romance telenovela and how it becomes more real every day.

“The best thing that happened to our generation of actors is that things open up in different ways and are approached differently. Fiction will always fall short of what we are living day by day, but at least we have the opportunity to expose them and to open a conversation in a different way,” says Alex.

“Lobo, morir matando” will air on Telemundo starting February 17 at 9:00 PM Central Time.
