Chiquis Begins a New Chapter in Life and Career

The singer Chiquis has decided to make a dramatic change in her career and has chosen to share it with her followers through her reality show “Chiquis Sin Filtro”. This is the second season of her program, where the artist reveals a private side of her life.

In the first season we could see her as a music star, and now she shows a completely different side, a very personal and spiritual side.

In twelve episodes premiering on ViX this March 20, she offers unprecedented access as she navigates a period of deep personal and professional transformation.

The season begins when the performer of “Abeja Reina” enters a pivotal moment of transition, both personally and professionally. Viewers will be able to accompany her through a process of spiritual self-reflection that includes a cleansing ceremony.

“I imagine that many people must be wondering why this drastic change in my music. I felt it was necessary to tell my truth, I want to share it, and it has been a long-held wish of mine, that they know what is happening with my music and why I reached this moment. It’s about speaking the truth.”

In addition to the transition she is making in her artistic career, she has also faced the process of becoming a mother and situations with her brothers.

“People who know me know that Janney has always been there. It was just a matter of showing it and showing who I am, my thoughts and the kind of music I want to make. I wasn’t touring much last year; there is also the process of me wanting to be a mother, letting go of my brothers as well, and you will see it all. It is a transition of everything, that is the perfect word.”

In music she has evolved within the regional Mexican genre to become a prominent representative of this music, but now the daughter of Jenni Rivera will become independent from the label to forge her own path.

“That is how I began my career as a singer, and I know how hard it is. Because you have to invest a lot in the career; I was with a record label that I love very much and, thank God, we achieved a lot together. But if it was necessary to continue independently; if I want to create this type of music, I want to do it at my own time,” she shared.

“I already know how difficult it is to be independent, but I am prepared and I learned a lot from the label, I learned a lot about my career in Mexican music. I like taking risks; I don’t want to one day say I didn’t try, that is why I want to give it a try,” she added.

Chiquis also said that she hopes women will be inspired by her and that they can make their own decisions, be free, and be able to move forward.
