A hamburger feed and silent auction will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at S&H Solar, 211 N. Wall, to benefit five-year-old Miguel Marin who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in December 2020.

Miguel Marin, known by most as “Migo” and son of Lee Marin and Kaylee Thonton, is an energetic and sweet five-year-old boy.

On December 17, 2020, Miguel was taken to the doctor’s office to have a swollen eye looked at. The local medical staff believed there was something major causing the issue and that same day he was admitted to Cooks Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth where Miguel was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Organizers of the benefit said Miguel and the Marin family are loved by many and they would like to show them that they are not fighting this battle alone.

If you are unable to attend the event, but would like to make a monetary donation a Go Fund Me page has been set-up at: https:// www.gofundme.com/f/helpmiguel-marin-beat-leukemia
