Cummings family benefit set Friday

A benefit is being held Friday, at the Elks Lodge, 4205 Seymour Hwy, Wichita Falls, to help Robert and Stephanie Cummings with expenses due to COVID-19 complications.
Doors to the dinner and dance will open at 6 p.m.
The meal will include chicken fried pork cutlets, and sides. Donations will be accepted at the door for the meal.
A silent auction will be held during the fundraiser.
Music will be provided by TNT Mobile Entertainment.
On June 26, Robert Cummings tested for COVID-19.
He was admitted to the hospital on June 30, and on July 2, he was placed on ventilator and is still on it.
He and Stephanie have four children ranging in ages from six months to 12-years-old.
Once he is dismissed from the hospital he will need extensive physical therapy to help him regain the use of his muscles.
The process for getting him on disability will be a long one, according to Stephanie.
She said she was told the approval process takes approximately six months.
Several items will be available to bid on during the silent auction at the benefit.
