According to Wichita County Health officials, Well-Health will be administering free COVID-19 testing through at least the end of the year in the MPEC parking lot at the Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall, 1000 Fifth St., Wichita Falls.

The testing will be drive through and free of charge to everyone.

This move is in response to the recent rising number of hospitlizations and deaths in Wichita County. The infection rate last week in the county was 19.64 percent.

The hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Although it is not necessary, an appointment can be scheduled by going to https://www.gogettested.com. According to the Wichita County Health Director Lou Kreidler, those wishing to be tested do not have to be symptomatic or have had contact with a known case.

“They will set up as long as the community needs them to be, said Kreidler. We disccussed two to three months to initally start, so they will be there through the end of the year.”
