Changes at hand for local businesses, city offices

With the COVID - 19 virus still very much alive and threatening lives many businesses and organizations as well as people are making changes to the way they do business and that includes the City of Iowa Park.

To protect city employees as well as residents and others who do business with the City Iowa Park City Hall lobby is closed.

Utilities and permits can be requested and bills can be paid at the city hall drive-thru window Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. till 5 p.m.

Payments in the form of cash, checks, money orders or credit cards will be accepted.

Any payment made by phone or online will be subject to a convenience fee.

Utility bills and municipal court fines can also be paid with a credit card over the phone.

According to City Manager Jerry Flemming, the lobby will remain closed until further notice. However, water bill clerks can be reached at (940) 592-2131.

Also, requests for services can be submitted online at www. iowapark.com fix-it-form.

Correspondence can be mailed to P.O. Box 190, Iowa Park, TX 76367-0190.

The Iowa Park Police and Fire Departments are still operating business as usual with extra precautions in place to protect the officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel.

Report emergencies at 911.

Notify dispatcher if you or any family members are experiencing or have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms.

The Municipal Court Clerk can be reached by telephone at (940) 213-7133 during regular city hall hours.

The Municipal Court room is currently closed to the public.

Court fines and fees can be paid at the city hall drive-thru window.

Payments of cash, checks, money orders or credit cards will be accepted.

Municipal court correspondence can be mailed to city hall’s mailing address.

Employees for other city services such as parks, code enforcement, streets, water and sewer are still working daily.

The public will not be permitted in the main library.

Materials can be checked in at the book drop or on the table inside the door next to the book drop.
