Local churches gets creative with Easter services

Churches have been creative with ways for their congregation to “attend” church services. How to hold Easter services was challenging, but local churches found ways.

While most of the local churches broadcast their services by live stream, First Baptist Church held a drive-in type Easter service in the parking lot of S5! Manufacturing. Those attending stayed in their vehicles listened to Pastor Glen Pearce sermon through a public address system.

A drive-in service was also held at Lakeview Church of God delivered by Pastor Daniel Robertson. They also posted an on-line service for those unable to attend the drive-in.

Other churches live streamed their services.

First United Methodist Church held a sunrise service at Lake Gordon at 7 a.m. Sunday that could be viewed by live stream. Following Pastor Jeffery Pehl’s sermon he posted pictures he took at the lake.

Grace Church posted a video made in and around the community. Some of the scenes showed events held last year such as Parkfest and Whoop-t-Do when people could interact.

Christ the King Catholic church also live streamed their service as did Faith Baptist Church.
