David Lloyd Wright, 28, was taken into custody in the 100 block of N. Bond at 12:03 p.m. Saturday, on a Wichita County warrant for illegal dumping. He was transported to Wichita County jail.

Angel Matthews, 34, was taken into custody on a commitment order warrant for vaccination of dogs/cats at 8:03 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of W. Park.

Monday, July 11

5:49 a.m. - Reporting party advised a turtle on the walking track was squashed and it looks like it was purposely done. Officers advised. 9:52 a.m. - Reporting party advised his landlord has given him a three day eviction notice from the residence in the 700 block of E. Texas. Officer advised reporting party it was a civil matter and he would need to talk with the justice of the peace. 10:56 a.m. - Reporting party requested officers check her vehicle for drugs after getting it back from being taken in Wichita Falls. Officer advised Iowa Park PD does not have a drug dog and suggested she reach out to the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office. 11:03 a.m. - Reporting party expressed concern for a subject who resides in the 1000 block of Lincoln due to reports of theft of money and other concerns. Officers advised reporting party of her options.

12:04 p.m. - Reporting party advised a resident that lives on Harley Court is backing out of her driveway too fast and squeals her tires leaving the street. Reporting party stated she doesn’t feel the driver even stops at the end of the street. Dispatch advised reporting party to call the next time she witnessed the neighbor driving reckless. At 12:33 p.m. the reporting party’s husband called to complain and dispatch advised him they could file a municipal court packet on the reckless driver. Officer responded to speak with reporting party. However, the reporting party refused to speak with the officer because she felt officers were setting her up. 12:09 p.m. - Officer advised of a boat trailer sitting by the flag pole at Gordon Lake without tags and it had been there since Sunday. Dispatch made contact with owner who advised a friend had taken his truck and trailer and never returned it and will not answer his calls. Civil matter. Wife took the trailer. Subject picked his trailer up later in the day and discovered the tires had been slashed. 3:35 p.m. - Reporting party advised his wife will not allow him to back out of the driveway. Dispatch could hear yelling in the background. Officers responded and parties separated.

5 p.m. - Reporting party advised of a very intoxicated female who is taking off her clothes and laying face first in the water and rolled over at Middle Lake. The female was wearing capri pants and her bra. Officer responded and issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and the female’s son drove her and a male subject home.

Tuesday, July 12

2:17 a.m. - Reporting party advised of some suspicious activity with movement and lights coming from the backyard in the 500 block of W. Washington. Officers responded and advised no suspicious activity. 5:59 a.m. - Reporting party advised of a male subject sleeping on a bench in the 1400 block of Jackson.

7:34 a.m. - Reporting party advised she is traveling to Quanah and her low tire sensor light came on and she needed assistance. Officer assisted. 6:02 p.m. - Reporting party advised a male subject threatened him with a baseball bat at Middle Lake. Officer responded and advised all parties separated.

Wednesday, July 13

6:19 p.m. - Reporting party advised he believes his neighbor’s generator was stolen in the 100 block of S. Colorado. Officer spoke with homeowner by phone who advised he did not want to file a report at this time.

Thursday, July 14

4:56 a.m. - Reporting party advised her boyfriend is at her front door in the 400 block of W. Pecan banging and being really loud. Requested officers to respond. Officers responded and advised the male subject has left the residence for the remainder of the morning and day.

8:19 a.m. - Animal control was advised of a dog bite in the 1300 block of N. Fourth.

11:59 a.m. - Reporting party advised that someone is using his phone number on-line. Officer advised him of his options.

3:25 p.m. - Welfare check on a resident in the 200 block of James Dr. No contact, officers will check back later.

4:22 p.m. -Officer advised of an open door at a residence in the 200 block of James Dr. The door had been kicked in and it is not livable, looks abandoned. Code enforcement informed.

6:18 p.m. - Officer advised out with a golf cart in the 900 block of W. Highway and gave multiple warnings as to what can be done to get the golf cart legal. 8:53 p.m. - Officer advised follow-up on welfare check from earlier in the day on James Dr. Made contact with individual. Everything okay.

Friday, July 15

10:33 a.m. - Reporting party advised a subject drove through the city work site at Cash and Victoria Streets. Officers responded and warned the subject about going around barricades at a work site.

1:28 p.m. - Reporting party in the 500 block of W. Texas advised someone egged his house over night.

5:27 p.m. - Reporting party advised of a male subject laying in the shade by the roadway on US 287 near Harmony. Officers responded and advised Wichita County deputies are giving him a ride to Electra.

7:09 p.m. - Iowa Park VFD dispatched to FM 240 and Sullivan Rd. to provide mutual aid to Burkburnett Fire Department for a grass fire. 11:48 p.m. - Reporting party advised of a male and female subject yelling and arguing on W. Pecan. Officers responded and detained a subject. Subject released and parties separated for the night. Saturday, July 16

Saturday, July 16

12:54 a.m. - Reporting party advised of arguing and yelling going on at the residence on W. Pecan where the previous disturbance was. Officers responded and advised everything okay. Nothing going on.

10:44 a.m. - Reporting party in the 1000 block of Mary Drive advised he confronted his neighbor about a noise complaint and his neighbor threatened him. Officer responded and advised it is a on going dispute with multiple residents in the building over noise complaints. Officers spoke to all parties and advised them to “work it out like adults.”

3:42 p.m. - Reporting party advised of a fire next door to the Pet Cemetery. Iowa Park and Wichita West VFDs were dispatched. Fire department advised upon arrival of a 10 acre fire and two vehicles that were a totally loss. Fire departments requested mutual aid from Electra VFD, Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, and Kamay. They also requested an ambulance for the homeowner. Fire out at 9:13 p.m. 7:42 p.m. - Reporting party advised of a subject selling solar in the area of Magnolia and Alameda. Officer advised out with subject in the 300 block of E. Magnolia. Subject was advised he needed a permit.

Sunday, July 17

10:59 p.m. - Iowa Park VFD dispatched for a fire in the 800 block of W. Smith. Railroad was contacted. Fire out at 11:13 p.m.

Monday, July 18

4:36 a.m. - Reporting party requested officers escort her into a business in the 1500 block of N. Pacific, due to a subject standing by the door. Officers responded. They advised the subject was trying to get a ride to Pampa.

8:07 a.m. - Reporting party advised that around 3 a.m. she caught two male juveniles on her Ring Door Bell coming up to her front door and damaging the screen. Officer investigating.

11:07 a.m. - Reporting party requested to speak with an officer about domestic violence. Police chief spoke with reporting party and advised him of his options.

6:31 p.m. - Reporting party advised of a motorcyclist driving on US 287 standing up on the back and not holding the handles. Officer responded to US 287, but reporting party advised they had passed Johnson Rd. headed west.

6:18 p.m. - Reporting party advised of a solicitor in the 400 block of W. Poe. Officers responded and advised subject he needed to go get a permit. 8:34 p.m. - Reporting party advised someone shot his vehicle with a BB gun and cracked his windshield in the 1300 block of Westridge.
