Wichita County COVID-19 cases up to 48 this week

The number of COVID-19 cases in Wichita County jumped to 48 as of presstime Wednesday this week, up from 38 at noon last Wednesday, according to the Wichita County Health Unit.

So far in Wichita County, 1,305 people have been tested, with 1,043 of those tests negative and 214 tests are pending.

Of the 48 Cases, two of those are from Sheppard Air Force Base and the other 46 are from the rest of Wichita County.

The status of the 48 are seven have recovered; 32 are in isolation at home, and nine are in the hospital.

Since last Wednesday, the cases reported by the Wichita county Health Unit include:

Case 39

The patient is between the ages of 20 - 29 and is currently at home recovering. The patient is a contact to a previous case.

Case 40

The patient is between the ages of 40 - 49 and is currently at home recovering. The patient is a contact to a previous case.

Case 41

The patient is between the ages of 40 - 49 and is currently at home recovering. The patient had traveled from New Orleans to DFW and then drove by personal vehicle to Wichita Falls. This is a travel related case.

Case 42

The patient is between the ages of 20 - 29 and is currently at home recovering. The patient is a contact to a previous case.

Case 43

The patient is between the ages of 40 - 49 and is currently at home recovering. This is a community spread case.

Case 44

The patient is between the ages of 40 โ€“ 49 and is at home recovering in self isolation.

The patient had traveled out of state and then drove back to Wichita Falls via personal vehicle. This is a travel related case.

Case 45

The patient is between the ages of 30 โ€“ 39 and is at home recovering in self isolation. The patient is a close contact to a previous case.

Case 46

The patient is between the ages of 6 โ€“ 19 and is at home recovering in self isolation. The patient is a contact of another case. The patient developed symptoms on March 31 and therefore was not in school at the time.

Case 47

The patient is 75+ and is currently hospitalized in stable condition. The patient is a contact to a previous case.

Case 48

The patient is 50 - 59 and is at home recovering. The patient was a contact of another case.
