Billie Kingcade Tepfer

Billie Kingcade Tepfer, 94, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, Texas with Pastor Tim Franks officiating.  Graveside services will follow at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.  Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the funeral home.

Billie was born April 12, 1927 in Jack County, Texas to Charlie and Edna (Marsh) Lemond.  Billie moved to Iowa Park with her family in the early 1940’s where she graduated from W.F. George High School in 1946.  She married H.L. “Pat” Kingcade in 1947 in Holliday, Texas.  Together, they raised three children, Dale, David, and Diane.  Pat preceded Billie in death in May of 1975.  Billie later married Lloyd Tepfer in 1977 and he preceded her in death in 1993.

Billie worked at Levi Strauss for 24 years until her retirement.  She then worked at Wal-Mart and retired at 84 years of age as a door greeter.  She is dearly loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and will be missed by all.

Surviving relatives include her sons, Dale and David Kingcade; sister Phletious Williams; all of Iowa Park, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family.  Billie was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sisters; daughter, Diane and husband, Carl Fulfer; two grandsons, Jeremy Dale Kingcade and Micah Mills.
