John Church

John Church, Jr., 78, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, March 7, 2022 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas with Chaplain Starkovich Forrester officiating. Private interment will be at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 4 PM on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the funeral home.

John was born August 27, 1943 in Warwick, New York to John, Sr. and Martha Virginia (Bierstine) Koscienlniak (translated to English as Church). He married Karen Sue Meyers on October 28, 1967 in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. John owned and operated Medical and Dental Equipment Repair for over 35 years after retiring from the US Air Force where he served for 20 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He enjoyed spending his time traveling, especially cruising, around the world; fishing; meeting people; and visiting at the Friendly Door Senior Citizens in Iowa Park.

John was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Thomas B. Church.

Surviving relatives include his girlfriend, Ingrid Ford of Iowa Park; son, Dale Church and wife, Michelle of Wichita Falls; daughter, Michelle Hall and husband, John of Wichita Falls; three grandchildren, Justan, Holden, and Julia; great grandson, Grayson; and his dog, Willie Nelson.
