Johnny Michiel “Mike” Pollard, 66, passed away on Thursday, May 5.

He will be honored with a celebration of life at 1p.m. Saturday at Owens and Brumley in Wichita Falls, followed by a gathering at Pioneer No. 3. The family asked that you wear your favorite band or sports t-shirt (no Eagles attire allowed) and your worn-out jeans.

He was born to Alice Lanell Hill March 22, 1956, in Plainview. He graduated from Bel Air High School in El Paso in 1974. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Midwestern State University in 1997. He was voted Accounting Student of the Year and Senior Man of the Year. He met his wife Connie in 1979 in Wichita Falls. He was a stone mason and his career as a brick layer spanned over 35 years. He was a member of The International Union of Bricklayers Local 5. He took a 15-year break from laying brick from 1997 to 2013 and served as the Deputy Tax Accessor Collector for Wichita County.

He is survived by his wife, Connie of Wichita Falls; daughters, Heather Pollard of McKinney, and Britany Rhoden of Iowa Park; his mother, Lanell Hill of Iowa Park; as well as grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
