It is with great sadness the family of Laura Landers announces her passing on July 5, 2021 after an unexpected illness. Laura was born in Electra, Texas on February 20, 1962, to Glenda Mapp Helton Godwin and the late Ed Helton.

She chose to give her life to Christ as a teenager. She graduated from Electra High School in 1980. She married Ernie Landers of Devol, OK in 1980.

Laura enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, reading and sports all throughout her life.

Laura worked as a shipping clerk at Sealed Air Corporation in Iowa Park for 41 years. She held a high regard for her coworkers and built long-lasting relationships with many.

If you knew Laura, you knew she loved her family. She loved her children deeply, her nieces and nephews fiercely, but it was her grandchildren who stole her heart. Her life may have been cut short on time, but she loved hard while she was here with us.

She is survived by her husband Ernie Landers, mother Glenda Godwin of Iowa Park, TX, brother Jeff Helton and his wife Jeni Helton of Electra, TX, sister Julie McShan and her husband Scott McShan of Nocona, TX.
