Here Comes the Son!

Steven Lacy Beavers, born January 12, 1961, has turned down the music and gone home.

Steve was born to James and Kathleen Beavers in Iowa Park, Texas where he went to school from Kindergarten through his graduation in 1979. Steve was a proud Hawk that participated in football, theater, was in student council and a National Honor Society student. He attended MSU before starting his career with Cerainteed until its closing. He then reenrolled in school and received his LVN license. He worked as a nurse at the State Hospital up until he suffered his stroke.

Steve had an entire room of vinyl records that he collected since he was 14 years old. His favorite bands were The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimmi Hendrix, Bo Didley, The Smithereens….he loved all genres of rock and blues!

He enjoyed cooking, working on his 1967 Ford Mustang convertible, and riding his Triumph motorcycle. He was Uncle to Myles, Mason, and Sunny and brother to Paula Beavers and the late Bart Beavers. He was the first child of the late James Beavers and Kathleen Beavers.

The family would like to thank North Texas Rehab for their patience and kindness and his home at Royal Estates.

There will be a memorial service at The Pavilion at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, Texas on Friday, October 15th at 2 p.m.
