Wilma Earlene Mueller

Wilma Earlene Mueller, 86, passed from this earth on November 9, 2021. She was born in Lueders, TX on October 27, 1935 to John and Edith (Chambers) Larance. In June of 1956, in Stamford, TX, she married the love of her life Gilbert L Mueller and they spent 60 happy years together until his death in 2015.

Earlene was a faithful wife and loving Mother, who kept a happy home for her family, while following Gilbert in all his endeavors. They traveled from the Philippines while he was in the Navy, to many locations in Texas with Lone Star Gas, before they settled in Iowa Park for the last 50 years. They made their church home at First Baptist of Iowa Park where they became faithful members and had many fun adventures. Her biggest joy came from her grandkids and eventually great grandkids. Earlene could tell a story in the most entertaining fashion, leaving everyone howling in laughter. We all miss hearing her spin a tale The label “Mamaw is a hoot” was very fitting and was also her favorite compliment.

Earlene is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gilbert, sister Nelda Creel and brother Jerry Larance.

She is survived by her children Mike (Donna) Mueller of Phoenix, AZ and Michele Majewski of Iowa Park. Grandkids Amanda (Brian) Meyer, Amy Mc Creary of Iowa Park, Keith Mueller and Chad (Rebecca) Mueller of Phoenix, AZ Great-granddaughters Gracelyn, Madelyn, Evelyn and Scarlett Meyer all of Iowa Park. Brothers Bruce (Peggy) Larance, Lewis (Rosy) Larance, Brother-in-Law Ceci Creel; sisters Betty (Ken) Ivy and Helen Jennings and generations of nieces and nephews who all loved her so.

The family wishes to thank all of the caring staff at Healing Hands Home Health Electra Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Wichita Falls.
