Sunday afternoon while Iowa Park Police Officers were doing a routine check at Middle Lake they learned a family was looking for a family member who went missing.
Saturday the annual Independence Day Pig Pen Mud Volleyball tournament and fireworks display will get underway on the east side of Gordon Lake, with the tournament starting at 10 a.m., and fireworks to wrap up the day.
Amending the city ordinance regarding water and sewer service was discussed by members of the Iowa Park City Council at their regular meeting Monday, and City Manager Jerry Flemming asked for their direction.

During a traffic stop on US 287 Musa Jabir Abdi, 41, of Richardson, was taken into custody for reckless driving and two counts of abandoning or endangering a child.
