In one of its annual celebrations, The Menil Collection’s museum complex joins the community to host its Annual Neighborhood Community Day on Saturday, April 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This event draws more than 1,000 visitors each year to one of Houston’s most walkable neighborhoods.
Curator talks, art-making programs, performances, and live music are offered across the 30 acres that comprise the Menil campus and the surrounding neighborhood.
Visitors will enjoy a free afternoon of art, music, poetry, and family activities, celebrating the museum’s vibrant Montrose neighborhood.
Among the participating organizations are DACAMERA, Express Children’s Theatre, Houston Center for Photography, Inprint, Islamic Arts Society, The Menil Collection, Rothko Chapel, Watercolor Art Society and Writers in the Schools (WITS).
