The telenovela “Guardian of My Life” has hit the screens, a story in which its protagonists Silvia Navarro and Daniel Arenas return to television and which they assure is completely adapted to the current reality.
This plot has been produced before; the last time 14 years ago under the title “True Loves”; today the actors at the helm of the cast assure that once again it will captivate the audience.
The plot follows “Sofía”, a successful businesswoman, and her bodyguard “Franco”, who will discover that no one can protect them from love. At the same time, her daughter and a young bodyguard will transform rebellion into passion. But what none of them knows is that ambitious enemies will try to twist the destinies that the heart has already chosen.
“It is a story that brings everything, drawn from working women, with families, with even a relationship, but also with a great desire to have self-love, security, to be heard. It reflects the woman of today with many fun touches around her, with many realistic elements, carried with a very distinctive touch,” Navarro shared.
“Guardian of My Life” brings Silvia and Daniel back to the television studios; both had been distant, and this project puts them in front of the camera.
“I think we deserved this return, and the public deserved it as well. I think it would have been hard to say no to a script so iconic, so well known, so beloved by people,” Arenas expressed.
“I, in my particular case, had taken a long pause in my acting career. I believe I do not regret one bit having said yes to this project, to this character, to this opportunity given to me, for first and foremost my God and life,” he added.
For Silvia, this becomes her 19th starring role, while for Daniel it is the eighth among telenovelas and series, in addition to his experience in other projects.
That is why this project is very special for both, who come accompanied by a stellar cast that includes Paulina Goto, Sergio Sendel, Kimberly Dos Ramos, Roberta Damián, Alejandro Camacho and Tiago Correa.
“Of course it’s a great challenge, but I think it depends a lot on how we have approached it and the actors embody the characters. The greatest satisfaction, the greatest prize is that people like it, that people appreciate it, value it just as we do,” Arenas said.
“You will find something novel”, Navarro concluded.
The telenovela airs on Univision at 8:00 PM/CT and has also premiered on the streaming platform ViX.
