To start this week’s column off, I’m announcing that I won’t be writing anything about the third special session of the Austin Goat Rodeo, at least for now.
I’m a storyteller. Sometimes I tell long stories, and sometimes I tell a lot of little stories depending on how my brain is working that week. Also, there are several inches of space on page four that are begging for comic relief.
Since moving to Iowa Park in 1969 and starting the Leader, our family has seen quite a number of gifted and talented athletes – both boys and girls – that have put their stamp on Hawk athletics, and made this town proud.
