Chaos Continues in the Streets of Minneapolis

It seems that the situation in Minneapolis remains complicated for its residents, who are facing the presence of hundreds of federal agents conducting raids.

After several days of detentions and clashes with the community, the images continuing to emerge from that area are striking.

Federal agents fired tear gas and sprayed an ocular irritant at the activists, while several miles away, students at a suburban school abandoned their classrooms to protest the Trump administration’s immigration raids.

The Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration has now shifted to a federal court, where the state of Minnesota and two mayors have asked a judge to halt the operation immediately. As of this writing, no date had been set for the hearing on this request.

Tensions rose even further after the death of Renee Good at the hands of an ICE agent; in light of this, protests have not been slow to follow.

While the White House expresses support for Jonathan Ross, the agent who shot this American citizen, Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey says that the agents are only causing chaos.

It was announced that more agents would be arriving in the city to continue the raids, which media outlets have reported are now door-to-door in the city.
