Drama, Action, and Emotion on Screen

July is shaping up to be a standout month for the Hispanic audience on Hulu + Live TV Español, with the return of Liga MX, one of the most-watched tournaments in Mexican football; the return of major telenovela stars to prime time, and reality competitions in which participants will push their physical and mental limits.

The 2026 Liga MX Apertura tournament kicks off on July 16 on Univision and TUDN. The beloved Mexican league returns with historic rivalries, passionate fan bases, and a new chase for the championship. For fans on both sides of the border, the start of Apertura means months of excitement, surprises, and must-see encounters, as clubs begin their journey toward the glory of Mexican football.

Action continues on Hulu + Live TV Español on July 25 with a new edition of Campeón de Campeones, when Toluca and Cruz Azul face off in a duel that will be broadcast by Univision and TUDN. This traditional meeting brings together two of the most recent champions of Mexican football in a battle for prestige and for another trophy to adorn their showcases, solidifying it as one of the most anticipated matches of the summer.

This summer also marks the first time Mexican actors Gabriel Soto and Mayrín Villanueva headline a telenovela together in more than a decade. The premiere of “Corazón de Oro” arrives on July 14 at 10 p.m. ET on Univision. The story follows Luz, a working single mother whose life changes when an unexpected inheritance triggers a fight marked by family, ambition, and loyalty. As old secrets come to light, Luz must face love, betrayal, and the ultimate sacrifice to protect Gala Montes, with Diego Olivera and Cynthia Klitbo also part of the production’s cast, which replaces “Hermanas, Un Amor Compartido,” starring Danna García, Adriana Louvier, Osvaldo Benavides, and Juan Martín Jáuregui.

As the home for some of the most recognizable figures in Hispanic television, Hulu + Live TV Español also presents this month “Tan Cerca de Ti, Nace el Amor,” which airs Monday through Friday at 8 p.m. ET on Univision, starring David Zepeda, Oka Giner and Julián Gil.

The drama continues with “Guardian of My Life,” which airs Monday through Friday at 9 p.m. ET on Univision. Starring Silvia Navarro and Daniel Arenas, and Paulina Goto and Diego Klein. Fans of competition will also have plenty to celebrate.

“Garra vs. Veneno: Guerreros Mundiales” continues to dominate screens on UniMás from Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. ET and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Univision. Hosted by Lambda García and Cynthia Urías, with competitors such as Chef Yisus, Miguel Espinoza and Jahn Lozada fighting for their teams, the reality show pits 24 participants against demanding physical and mental challenges, where endurance, strategy, and resilience determine who stays in the competition.

For those seeking lighter family entertainment, the second season of “Piensa Rápido” returns with Adrián Uribe at the helm. The program airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. ET on UniMás, combining humor, Latin culture, and mental agility as teams compete for the opportunity to win $10,000.

Completing the lineup is the second season of “Desafío The Box,” which airs Monday through Friday at 10 p.m. ET on UniMás. The successful reality continues to challenge its participants with extreme tasks that reward strength, intelligence, and determination, while eliminations gradually whittle the group down until a single winner is crowned.

From the return of Liga MX and the highly anticipated Toluca vs. Cruz Azul showdown in Campeón de Campeones, to stories led by Gabriel Soto, Mayrín Villanueva, David Zepeda, Oka Giner, Julián Gil, Silvia Navarro and Daniel Arenas, Hulu + Live TV Español’s July lineup offers a summer packed with football, romance, competition, and the stories that continue to captivate the Hispanic audience.
