From free options in Tomball to large festivals with mazes, animals, and attractions, these are some of the top choices to enjoy the pumpkin season in Houston and the surrounding areas.

The Houston pumpkin patch season is already underway, with options within the city and in communities such as Tomball, Spring, Humble, Montgomery, Simonton, and Brookshire.

Some places offer free or low-cost admission to buy pumpkins and take photos, while the larger farms and festivals include corn mazes, rides, animals, games, and other activities within the admission price.

Dates, hours, and prices can change due to weather conditions or availability, so it is advisable to confirm the venue information before heading out.

Houston Pumpkin Festival will be at Discovery Green through November 8

One option within Houston is the Houston Pumpkin Festival, installed at Discovery Green in Downtown Houston, from September 19 to November 8.

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm, in Spring, opened its pumpkin patch on October 1 and offers a family-friendly option with pumpkins, rides, and activities inside a farm of more than 40 acres.

The Fall Fest at P-6 Farms, in Montgomery, takes place on weekends from October 3 to November 8.

Blessington Farms, in Simonton, extends its autumn season from September 19 to November 22.

Old MacDonald’s Farm includes a pumpkin for children with paid admission

In Humble, Old MacDonald’s Farm keeps its pumpkin patch open through October 31 and combines the seasonal activity with the farm’s usual attractions.
