How to Get to the Houston Rodeo: Transportation Options

Houston Rodeo season is here and everyone wants to be there, even if only for a day to attend the carnival, a concert, or any of the activities, but many of us consider the traffic. That’s why the best transportation option is to use METRORail, with a cost of $1.25 per ride, getting off at the Stadium Park/Astrodome station. For greater convenience, METRO’s Park & Ride services from specific locations across the city are efficient, costing between $4 and $6.50 per trip.

Main transportation options for 2026:

  • METRORail (Red Line): It is the most popular and affordable ($1.25). It runs late into the night, up to 3:20 a.m. from Monday to Saturday, 1:15 a.m. on Sundays.

  • METRO Park & Ride (buses): They offer direct services from several locations. The North Shepherd, Monroe, West Loop, and Maxey Road lots offer transfers for $4 to $6.50.

  • Fannin South Transit Center: Offers parking for $20 (cash) and train transfers, often including the train pass for all passengers in the vehicle.
