I-45 will have alternating closures in both directions from 10 p.m. Monday, July 27 until 5 a.m. Tuesday. Restrictions will continue nightly through August 28.
Two alternating lanes of the Gulf Freeway will close tonight in both directions between Beltway 8 South and Clear Creek, near the boundary between Harris and Galveston counties.
The scheduled closure on Interstate 45 will begin at 10 p.m. on Monday, July 27 and end at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28. The restriction includes main lanes and frontage roads of the corridor.
The measure is part of a series of nightly closures planned on the Gulf Freeway. The work will keep up to two alternating lanes closed each night through the early morning of Friday, August 28.
The closure covers the corridor between Houston and Galveston County
The affected stretch runs from Beltway 8 South to Clear Creek, an area used by drivers traveling between Houston, Pasadena, Friendswood, Webster, League City and Galveston.

Night closures will continue through late August
The schedule calls for up to two alternating lanes closed in both directions of I-45, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The restrictions are planned during the night and early morning, not as a full highway closure.
