In his latest offensive against Venezuela, Donald Trump asserts that the country’s armed forces neutralized an ‘important facility’ just a few days ago.
According to what could be understood, this appears to refer to an attack on what would be a drug-trafficking hub.
These statements were made during an interview with the WABC radio program, “Cats and Cosby.” There he spoke of his administration’s efforts to curb drug trafficking throughout that region.
“We have just neutralized it, I don’t know if you read it or saw it, they have a large plant or a large installation from which they ship the drugs, you know, from where the ships depart. Two nights ago we neutralized it, so we dealt them a very hard blow”, said Trump in the interview.
In recent months, the United States armed forces have attacked purported boats where drugs were apparently trafficked in waters near Venezuela. According to ABC, the Pentagon has not confirmed or denied such information. Meanwhile, Trump continues to drop hints and make comments about what could be a land-based attack on Venezuela.
