The successes of two of the most emblematic groups of Spanish-language pop and ballad thrilled thousands of fans in Houston. On March 13, Pandora and Flans, with their “Unexpected Tour,” delivered a full-house show at the Arena Theatre, delighting with their impressive voices.
In the eighties, when they rose to fame, these artists could never have imagined that four decades later they would be on the same stage conquering new generations and exciting the fans who grew up with them and their songs.
In a show that was perfectly well-staged, giving each member the opportunity to have her moment and showcase her voice, they traverse the songs that have become part of their audience’s history.
Isabel, Mayte and Fernanda of Pandora demonstrated their artistic presence and connected with those present, who remained on their feet all night. For their part, Ilse and Mimi of Flans, with their unique style for dancing and getting the audience moving, brought to mind their entire musical career.

Pandora’s tracks such as “Con tu amor”, “Debo hacerlo”, the famous “Popurrí de Juan Gabriel” and their iconic hit “Cómo te va mi amor” thrilled the crowd. For their part, Flans brought to their repertoire songs like “Bazar”, “Tímido”, “Me he enamorado de un fan” and the song that made the entire venue dance, “No controles”.
In addition to the success of their Houston performance, we must highlight the affection shown by the audience. You could see the emotion on the faces of all those people who, at that moment, had the opportunity to see their teenage idols and relive that period of their lives.
That is why tours like these continue to be very successful and are very important in the industry, because today the admirers of these artists have the opportunities and possibilities that perhaps they did not have years ago to see them in concert.
This concert by Flans and Pandora was one of talent, music, and a lot of nostalgia.
