Free Family Night will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and will coincide with special activities for Hispanic Heritage Month. Each reservation allows up to six tickets and the group must include at least one child.
Families will be able to enter free to Children’s Museum Houston on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m., during a new edition of Free Family Night. Tickets are released 48 hours before each Thursday, so reservations for this date will be available starting Tuesday the 15th, subject to availability.
Each order may include up to six tickets and all groups must attend with at least one child. The museum recommends booking in advance due to limited availability.

Free Family Night takes place every Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Children’s Museum Houston, located at 1500 Binz St., Houston, TX 77004. Admission during those three hours is free for all ages.
Tickets for each Thursday are enabled 48 hours beforehand. For the session on September 17, that corresponds to Tuesday the 15th in the afternoon, taking as reference the start of the free window at 5 p.m.

Uncle Tóto will perform at 6:30 p.m.
The September 17 session will also include special programming for the Hispanic Heritage Month.
At 6:30 p.m., Uncle Tóto will offer in Brown Auditorium a bilingual performance with music, storytelling and Latin American rhythms. The program will also include an introduction to flamenco and to how its rhythms and movements express emotions.
At 6 p.m., Gallery of Wonder will host a Giggles and Stories edition devoted to Hispanic Heritage, with stories, music and bilingual activities for young children and their caregivers.
Children’s Museum will feature Ojo de Dios activities and Lotería
During the day there will also be activities inspired by Latin American cultural traditions.
In Kaleidoscope, visitors will be able to craft an Ojo de Dios while learning the meaning of this traditional Huichol craft from Mexico. In Kids’ Hall there will be an activity to create Lotería cards.
The programming is part of a special series of Free Family Nights for Hispanic Heritage Month, which will extend through October.
