The Mobile Units Enable Processing of Passport, Matrícula Consular, Voter ID Card, Birth Certificates, and Dual Nationality. Service will be suspended on Wednesday, September 16 for a holiday.
The Mobile Consulate in Houston will continue serving at Community Family Centers through Friday September 18, with services for people who need to carry out various consular procedures without going to the main headquarters of the Mexican Consulate General.
The units are installed at Community Family Centers, 7524 Ave E, Houston, TX 77012. However, there will be an interruption during this last week: on Wednesday, September 16 there will be no service due to a holiday.
The Mobile Consulates operate from Monday to Friday, except holidays. In accordance with the September calendar, after Monday the 14th and Tuesday the 15th, service will resume on Thursday the 17th and continue on Friday the 18th, subject to schedule changes.
On Wednesday the 16th there will be no services at Community Family Centers
People planning to attend this week should take into account the closure on Wednesday, September 16, to avoid an unnecessary trip.
Community Family Centers is the site of the two Mobile Consulate units from September 7 to 18.
The first unit focuses on identity documents and registration, while the second specifically handles requests related to dual nationality.
One unit processes passport, Matrícula Consular and voter credential
At the Consulado Sobre Ruedas I procedures for the following can be completed:
- Mexican passport.
- Matrícula Consular (the Consular Registration Card).
- Voter credential (Voter ID card).
- Birth certificates.
Requests for birth certificates do not require an appointment.
For the other procedures, appointments can be requested by phone or WhatsApp at 1 (424) 309-0009, or through the appointment system of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs.
The second unit handles dual nationality registrations
The Consulado Sobre Ruedas II is dedicated to the dual nationality registration.
Those who need this service should select the option “Civil Registry” when requesting the appointment.
The requirements vary depending on the procedure, so they can be consulted along with the dates and locations directly in the official calendar of the Mexican Mobile Consulate in Houston.
The Mobile Consulate will relocate on September 21
After concluding service at Community Family Centers on Friday the 18th, the two units will move to a new location.
From September 21 to October 2, Mobile Consulate I and Mobile Consulate II will be at:
