This weekend in Houston, a night full of music will unfold, taking us on a journey through the careers of two major pop representatives. Together, María José and the Moenia group will perform, whose trajectories include a large number of popular hits.
This special tour, bringing them together, stops in several cities across the United States and seeks to unite the fans of both for an unforgettable evening.
Carrying out this tour with La Josa, as she is also known, marks a special moment for the members of Moenia, who had already collaborated on a duet and, based on the success of that and their friendship with her, decide to undertake this tour.
“Moenia, I can tell you that nothing else could have done it with La Josa. Precisely, because we feel that energy with her, she is our friend of many years. We always had that connection, and, well, in addition to the fact that she has a voice and spectacular talent, from there came that we invited her to sing with us a version of ‘No matter that the sun dies,’ which now is one of the most listened-to songs—this version, as a duet with La Josa, from Moenia’s entire discography,” shares Alex.
“We only lacked something like a tour. Beyond inviting her to sing a song in our concerts or she to ours, now doing a tour where that energy we both feel is transmitted is very special,” he added.
Moenia has more than thirty years of experience, and their niche has always been electronic music which they have managed to blend with other sounds, obtaining a fusion that makes their proposition unique.
“From the start, we have always connected very strongly with electronic music. We began with synth-pop; we also started to grow and evolve with different genres within the same electronic music. So that is what we like, that is what we know how to do, and certainly with the passing of the years we have learned many new techniques, many new things. Moenia’s music is electronic music, but many times it begins with pianos or guitars or with a lyric, a lyric, something basic or something already very done, but we always try to integrate these instruments that are natural instruments,” said Jorge Soto.
In the interview, he also told us that this tour is special and, although it includes some elements of their current tour that travels through Mexico, it is not the same and it features a repertoire with the best hits and a segment with María José.
The concert is this October 23 at Bayou Music Center; tickets are on sale at https://www.ticketmaster.com/maria-jose-moenia-us-tour-2026-houston-texas-10-23-2026/event/3A0064C2C000B4CA.
