As every year, the Houston Theater Week (Houston Theater Week) aims to give the entire community the opportunity to engage with the arts and experience first-rate performances offered by various organizations in our city.
This year it will take place from August 24 to 30 with offers of “buy one ticket, get another free,” and this year there is a lot to celebrate, says the Houston First Corporation (HFC).
Since 2022, more than 118,000 tickets have been sold during Theater Week, raising about 5 million dollars for local performing arts groups.
Hitting this figure is a testament to the great impact of the collaboration between HFC and the city’s professional performing arts groups.
While these cultural organizations continue placing their best shows within reach of the public during Theater Week, HFC remains committed to supporting this annual initiative through its marketing and public relations efforts.
“What began as an effort to bring the public back to live theaters after the pandemic has become a valuable annual sales boost for our local performing arts groups,” stated Michael Heckman, president and chief executive of Houston First.
“Houston First continues to invest in this annual collaboration because it works: everyone wins—the audience, the performing arts community, and our city.”
