Adamari López: Always Close to Latinos

One of the most recognizable faces on television is undoubtedly Adamari López; for several decades she has worked in front of the camera. Many know her for her professional work, but the public has also followed her personal life closely. Today she enjoys great popularity among the Hispanic community and works on several projects.

“They have followed my projects in terms of work and have seen me go through beautiful moments, marriage, the birth of my daughter, and they have supported me in difficult moments such as divorce, in my illness, separations. They have prayed for me and that makes a beautiful community and a wonderful partnership between the audience and me. Suddenly, they feel that I am part of my family.”

For now she is working on the programs “Desiguales” and “¿Quién es mejor?” on Univisión and is part of “¿Quién caerá?” on Unimás, of which there are three seasons.

“I try to do things that align with my values and that please the audience; I want to bring them the best of what I can bring to their screen.”

One of the new members of “Desiguales” is Charytín Goyco, a showbiz figure with a long career on various platforms and a personality very similar to Adamari. Both have a fun personality with a lot of good humor, but serious when addressing certain topics.

“Working with someone I admire and respect like Charytín Goyco, who is now a fixed part of ‘Desiguales’, means a lot and learning from her, who is a person with a lot of experience, whom the audience loves very much and always has a lot of affection for everyone. I find it fabulous to be with her to talk about topics that impact our community and to give them information to face daily life, and the audience decides what suits them and what is important for them to take from what we say.”

Her daughter Alaïa Costa, 11, has participated with her in the hosting of “¿Quién caerá?”, in the children’s section of the program, and this fills Adamari with pride.

“She is super happy to be on the program and to have this opportunity. This gives her tools for when at school she does her projects and speaks in front of the class; it helps her project herself better and, while doing so, she enjoys it a lot,” she shared.

This year, Adamari, once again, was selected as DIRECTV ambassador of the brand in the Hispanic market of “MiEspañol.” With this she will continue reaching the screen of the people who have been with her throughout her career.

“We Hispanics, even though we live in the United States, do not want to lose what we are and our roots and maintain contact with our own, and it fills us with joy. We want to show them the entertainment we love so much, such as the novelas and the drama with which many of us grew up, which moves us and makes us remember our origins,” concluded.
