In collaboration with the Houston Department of Health, the Houston Health Foundation launched its new mobile vision health unit for the Brilliant Futures See to Succeed program: the Eye Believe Bus. A clinical team conducted eye examinations inside the mobile clinic for preschool students aged four and up.
The Eye Believe Bus was created to address the growing demand for pediatric vision health services in the expanding Houston region, serving as a vital complement to the See to Succeed school missions. This bus eliminates geographic barriers for peripheral suburban areas.
Each year, the See to Succeed program serves an average of 10,000 students. It is expected that the Eye Believe Bus will increase service capacity by at least 20%. To provide services at its Heights headquarters, See to Succeed currently collaborates with more than 17 school districts in the Houston area, serving students from districts such as Aldine ISD, Cy-Fair ISD, and Alief ISD.
