Health Education Through the Theatrical Play Ay Chabela

The Latin American Foundation for Social Action (FLAS) and Artivo Productions present a red-carpet event open to the community to present the theatrical work “Ay Chabela”.

The play will educate the community about HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), PrEP, and topics related to the LGBTQIA+ community, such as stigma, transphobia, and homophobia.

At this time, close to the Pride celebration of the LGBTQ+ community (PRIDE), it is essential to educate the community about the work of local artists and new strategies for preventive education.

This event will take place in Los Ramones, in the The Heights district, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, Saturday May 30, and Saturday June 6, 2026.

FLAS is a nonprofit organization that has promoted health awareness in the Houston metropolitan area

for the last 32 years and is a member of United Way. Its mission is: “We are committed to improving behavioral health and well-being services for the Latino community.”
