Scream 7: Big-Screen Suspense

Thirty years later, the masked killer, “Ghostface,” is more present than ever in his return to the big screen in the film “Scream 7.” This is the seventh installment of the franchise and, despite the passage of time, fans remain loyal to these suspenseful stories. On this occasion, the killer returns to the lives of those who for years have tried to escape that terrifying past. In this film, the character of “Sidney Prescott,” played by Neve Campbell, returns, along with other members of the first installment. This raises the expectations for this movie very high; now it is up to the audience to decide. The release is February 27.

The Origin of the Mask

The iconic Ghostface mask in Scream was discovered by chance by producer Marianne Maddalena while scouting locations in a California house. It was originally named “Peanut-Eyed Ghost,” designed by Brigitte Sleiertin for Fun World’s 1992 line “Fantastic Faces,” and was chosen for its resemblance to Edvard Munch’s painting, “The Scream.”

On Television

The Scream saga also had a television series based on the films, which consisted of 3 seasons and a total of 30 episodes that began in 2015 and concluded in 2019.
