In another mass shooting in the United States, at least three people were killed. The incident occurred at the Islamic Center of San Diego, California, on May 18.
National media reported that among the deceased were a security guard and two staff members from the Islamic school located on the center’s premises, said Imam Taha Hassane, the director of the mosque that was targeted by the shooting.
The injured were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
Todd Gloria, the mayor of the city, stated that “no one should ever have to fear for their safety while attending prayers or studying in an elementary school. We are working to obtain more information about this incident and urge everyone to keep this community in their prayers.”
