Two acting stars arrive in our city to present a play, Sylvia Pasquel and Alberto Estrella. We know both for their extensive artistic careers and we have seen them in countless projects.
On September 13 they present “The Teacher”, which tells the story of a strict and cultivated literature teacher named “América Alcalá”, who refuses to retire for fear of loneliness, and “Carlos Ortiz”, a humble supermarket fishmonger who attends tutoring sessions concerned about his daughter “Daniela”.
What begins as a tense verbal “boxing match” due to their prejudices and differences in education, evolves throughout the school year into a heartwarming life lesson.
A moving journey full of laughter, tolerance, hope and resilience that shows us that art and human empathy can break any barrier.
