New Edition of La Prensa de Houston: More on the Earthquake in Colombia

The magnitude-7.4 earthquake that occurred on August 10 had its epicenter in San José del Palmar, Chocó, and caused damage in several regions of Colombia. Emergency teams continued search and rescue operations as authorities logged aftershocks.

The Colombian Geological Service updated information about the quake, which was felt in hundreds of communities and became one of the strongest seismic movements recorded in the country in the 21st century.
